How does it work?

CHOCOLATE WORKSHOP

  1. Reserve your spot

    Choose the day and one of the four sessions: 11:00, 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., or 5:00 p.m. Reservations for the workshop close one day in advance, so you can't make a reservation for the same day.

  2. We'll give you the apron

    We'll meet you at kilometer 78 on the old Mérida-Campeche highway, across from the archaeological site, and assign you your workstation. All materials are included.

  3. We'll pack your figurines

    When we're done, we'll wrap up your chocolate figures—each weighing about 200 grams—so you can take them home.

  4. You walk through the museum

    Admission to the museum is included in the workshop: you can take the tour of the cacao forest before or after the session, whenever you like.

The workshop lasts one hour, is led by a master chocolatier, and is conducted in Spanish and English. You choose the molds and decorations, and you get to take home 200 grams of chocolate.
