A museum that traces from cacao to chocolate
Choco-Story is a chocolate museum that traces 5,500 years of history: from the sacred cacao that the Maya and Mexica used as currency and offerings to the chocolate bar known around the world today. Mexico is the birthplace of cacao—and here, that story is told where it actually happened, just as it was told back then: in panels.
We are part of the international Choco-Story group, which has museums in Bruges, Paris, and Prague, as well as four locations in Mexico. Each visit is interactive: original archaeological artifacts, scents, tastings, and chocolatiers at work.

How much is admission?
It depends on the venue. General admission ranges from $90 to $280 pesos, with discounted rates for children, students, seniors, and residents of each state. Children under 3 years old get in for free.
Does the tour include a tasting?
Yes, at all four locations.
Do all museums offer chocolate workshops?
In three of the four. There's no repair shop in Valladolid.
Is this a good plan for families with kids?
Yes. The tour is interactive, and there are special rates for children at all four locations.
